Golfers have bucket lists, hopes and dreams to complete the entire 10 Course Open Championship rota over a lifetime of golf vacations to the UK and Ireland, this golf vacation itinerary is unique opportunity to play all 10 Open Championship venues in 10 consecutive days.
The courses roll off the tongue, you have seen them on tv, laptop or iPad hosting many golf championships over the years. We have designed the routing of the itinerary to provide a smooth flow to the trip over the 3 countries, the shortest possible journeys between venues whilst using the least number of accommodation locations so you are not bed hopping every night.
Scotland: Starting near Edinburgh in East Lothian, Scotland at Muirfield Golf Club a strong and testing venue to get the epic adventure underway. You will then moving north to The Home of Golf, for 3 Nights to play The Old Course, St Andrews and Carnoustie Championship Links. Trump Turnberry Ailsa Links on the west coast awaits next followed by Royal Troon Old Course.
England: Crossing the border into England and travelling down the west coast to play Royal Lytham & St Annes, Royal Liverpool Golf Club – Hoylake and Royal Birkdale Golf Club. Staying around Liverpool/southport is a favourite of SAFG as it allows for the most quality golf in close proximity to good bars and restaurants and compliment your stay. Once complete you will move south to play Royal St Georges Golf Club before the short flight to the next location.
Ireland: The finale for the trip is newly back on the rota and possibly the most popular Open Championship Venue in recent times, Royal Portrush Golf Club where Shane Lowry was victorious in 2019. Upon completion of the epic Open adventure you can sit with a large glass of Bushmills Whiskey, chat through the memories and the many highlights experienced.
