In this golf vacation itinerary you will be playing the current quartet of The Open Championship links courses in England, UK.
This is your opportunity to relive famous moments in golf at The Open Championship, like Jordan Spieth (2017) and Tom Watson (1983) victories at Royal Birkdale Golf Club, a certain Tiger Woods (2006) impressive win by mainly using his irons off the tee (only 4 drivers all week) at Royal Liverpool GC – Hoylake. We are sure, you will have viewed YouTube videos of the crowd scrambling around Seve Ballesteros’ infamous car park shot in 1988 at Royal Lytham & St Annes GC and then most recently Collin Morikawa (2021) winning in style at Royal St Georges GC.
To compliment the Open Venues we have included Hillside Golf Club whilst in the north west, known by golf aficionados as one of the best golf layouts in the world and also Royal Cinque Ports GC (Open Championship Venue twice in early 1900’s) which neighbours Royal St Georges GC in Kent to this itinerary to enhance your golf vacation experience further.
Liverpool is a vibrant city and a strong base for your group whilst in the North West of England with many accommodation options to suit your requirements from bars and fine dining restaurants to culture at The Tavern Club where The Beatles were discovered. The quaint towns around Sandwich and Deal in Kent allow for a more relaxed pace whilst at Royal St Georges GC but continue the high quality of accommodation and dining experiences.
