Women in Golf Charter

St Andrews for Golf is proud to be a signatory to The R&A Women in Golf Charter, strengthening our commitment to making golf travel and coaching inclusive, welcoming, and empowering for women and girls worldwide. As a business rooted in St Andrews, the Home of Golf, we believe in helping shape a sport where everyone feels invited to take part. This includes the growing number of women’s golf groups, ladies’ sections and individual female golfers who seek supportive, high-quality golf experiences.

The Women in Golf Charter brings together golf organisations across the world who are committed to encouraging more women and girls into the game. Led by The R&A, the Charter promotes greater gender balance across the industry and supports those who are working to create genuinely inclusive golfing environments. It provides a framework for positive change, helping businesses like ours make golf more accessible, visible, and welcoming for individual female golfers and organised women’s groups alike.

Representation and Visibility

Commitment:

By supporting, celebrating and building confidence in female leaders both within the organisation and the wider golf travel industry.

Actions:

We will invest in the development of female leaders within St Andrews for Golf by supporting and funding professional development opportunities that enhance their confidence to lead within the golf industry.

Advocacy and Partnerships

Encouraging Participation

Commitment:

Ensuring women are well-represented in our marketing and communication materials, helping to challenge traditional stereotypes in golf travel imagery.

Actions:

We will research women’s coaching preferences and update our marketing to ensure inclusive, consistent representation of women golfers, including solo travellers and women’s groups.

Role Modelling Female Leaders

Commitment:

By using our platform to spotlight female achievements in golf and building collaborations with industry stakeholders who share our commitment to gender equality.

Actions:

We will support women in golf initiatives by partnering with organisations and events that align with the Charter and benefit women’s golf communities and groups.

Leading by Example

At St Andrews for Golf, leadership shapes the culture, values, and experiences we deliver. As a small team, every member plays a meaningful role, and we are proud that strong female leadership is part of how we operate.
