Description
Dublin’s fair city, will be your base for the duration of the golf tour, a cultural multinational stewing pot allowing a fantastic mix of golf, sightseeing, live music, sport, activities and so much more.
Portmarnock Golf Club has held a fine reputation for many years, however it has now well and truly hit the wish list of travelling golfers. Four of the courses in the golf tour have hosted the Irish Open on the European Tour/DP World Tour, Seve Ballesteros winning at two venues (Portmarnock) & Royal Dublin Golf Club in the heart of the City. The weather was certainly testing, however Shane Lowry completed a famous first European/DP World Tour victory over the magnificent links of County Louth Golf Club – Baltray as an amateur!!
The Island GC has worked extensively on developing the course, they have achieved a spectacular routing with stunning views whilst testing your ability. The European Club encompasses traditional links, sea views and a wholesome Irish feel. The final stop will be remembered for a major European Victory in the 2006 Ryder Cup, an emotional Darren Clarke performing to the highest level despite personal challenges to help win the Samuel Ryder Cup at The K Club, Kildare. Rory McIlroy also won the Irish Open at this venue too.
Throughout this Ireland Golf Vacation you will hear stories about Molly Malone, tour then pour your own Guinness at The Guinness Storehouse tour, taste a Jameson Whiskey or 2, whilst enjoying the craic and live music at Grafton Street, Dublin.
