About St Andrews for Golf

We are a luxury golf travel and experience company based in St Andrews, the Home of Golf. Founded in 2010 by PGA Professional Alastair Love, we built St Andrews for Golf around a simple idea: that great golf trips are made through care, trust, and attention to detail.

We create bespoke golf experiences and take time to understand what our clients are hoping for. From securing tee times to planning the journey around them, we focus on trips that feel well paced and easy to enjoy. As a St Andrews Links Authorised Partner who provides Guaranteed Old Course Tee Time Packages, and as Authorised PGA Instructors at the St Andrews Links Golf Academy, we help golfers achieve long-held ambitions while making sure the wider experience is just as well looked after.

What matters most to us is how people feel when they travel with us. We are a small, close-knit team and take pride in looking after our clients properly. There is a strong family feel to the way we work, and we aim to create an atmosphere that is calm and welcoming, with everything organised thoughtfully in the background.

Our values guide how we work. We believe in doing things well, treating people properly, and continually improving what we offer. We work with integrity and professionalism at all times, and we care deeply about the game of golf and the experiences we help create.

Alastair Love

Founder, CEO & Head PGA Professional

Alastair founded St Andrews for Golf in 2010 after several years working in the golf travel industry. Bringing together his background as a PGA Professional with an entrepreneurial mindset, he established the company with a clear vision to create golf experiences that are personal, thoughtfully designed, and delivered to the highest professional standard.

As Founder and CEO, Alastair leads the strategic direction of the business while remaining closely involved in the delivery of client experiences. His deep knowledge of the game, combined with extensive experience in golf travel, allows him to design itineraries that balance world-class golf with an understanding of what makes a trip genuinely memorable.

Away from work, Alastair is a committed family man and enjoys keeping up with his two boys and their many sporting activities, a perspective that shapes the family-focused ethos at the heart of St Andrews for Golf.

Sharon Love

Sharon joined St Andrews for Golf in 2022, bringing with her a background in public health, transformation, and change management. Her role focuses on ensuring the business operates smoothly and sustainably, while maintaining the high standards of care and professionalism that define the client experience.

She plays a central role in shaping how the company supports its guests, from internal systems and processes through to the personal touches that make each trip feel well looked after. Alongside her operational responsibilities, Sharon leads the company’s Women in Golf work, helping to develop more inclusive experiences and opportunities within the game.

Sharon is closely involved in the day-to-day life of the business and enjoys hosting groups during the summer months, offering a friendly welcome and thoughtful insight throughout their stay. She joined the company to help grow the business while creating more time for family life, a balance that continues to influence the values and culture of St Andrews for Golf.

Ben Calow

Golf Operations Assistant

Ben supports the planning and delivery of golf experiences at St Andrews for Golf and is involved in the operational side of the business. He works closely with the wider team, contributing to trip preparation and helping ensure everything runs smoothly.

Ben enjoys working with groups and brings a professional, approachable manner to his role. His day-to-day work includes supporting operational tasks and assisting with the smooth running of company activities, with a focus on providing a positive experience for clients.

Alongside his role, Ben is continuing his academic studies, combining hands-on industry experience with a developing interest in leadership, management, and the future of golf tourism.

Favourite Itinerary: England Heathland Heaven a personal favourite inspired by Ben’s Surrey roots and his love for classic heathland golf.

Walker Crawford

Walker joined St Andrews for Golf after an accomplished career with GE, taking early retirement and bringing his professionalism and attention to detail into the world of golf travel. With a long-standing passion for golf and a keen interest in motors, he takes great pride in ensuring every client’s experience is smooth, well organised, and enjoyable from start to finish.

Walker is known for his calm approach and thoughtful care of guests while on tour. He values the personal side of the role, taking time to understand what each group needs and making sure everyone feels comfortable and well looked after throughout their stay.

A dedicated family man, Walker enjoys spending time with his grandson and brings that same sense of care and patience to the way he hosts clients.

Brian Crawford

Brian joined St Andrews for Golf after a career in finance, taking early retirement to focus on delivering exceptional golf experiences. He takes great pride in making sure every guest enjoys a trip of a lifetime, paying close attention to the small details that help each experience run smoothly.

In his role as Golf Experience Concierge, Brian is known for his friendly, approachable manner and his commitment to ensuring guests feel relaxed and well cared for throughout their journey. He enjoys working closely with groups on tour and takes particular satisfaction in helping create memorable moments both on and off the course.

Outside of work, Brian enjoys walking his dogs along the Ayrshire coast, a pastime that reflects his calm and thoughtful approach to hosting.

Gerard, known to many as Ged, joined St Andrews for Golf after an accomplished career in mechanical engineering. He now brings that same reliability and attention to detail to his role as Golf Experience Concierge, ensuring guests travel comfortably and efficiently throughout their trip.

Ged takes pride in offering a warm welcome at the end of a day’s golf and in making sure each journey runs smoothly. He enjoys the social side of golf and values the chance to meet people from all over the world, helping them feel at ease as they move between destinations.

  Unforgettable Scotland My sister and I have just returned from what will remain one of the most memorable journeys travelling to Scotland. St Andrews for Golf organised an extraordinary and truly bespoke experience, securing my guaranteed tee time at the Old Course and creating a tailor-made itinerary that perfectly combined golf, history, culture and sightseeing for both of us. Having travelled extensively around the world and experienced many private, tailor-made journeys, I can honestly say that this experience exceeded anything we have encountered before. The care, professionalism and seamless organisation provided by Sharon and Alistair were exceptional. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged – from tee times at the magnificent golf courses, transfers, restaurant reservations and sightseeing recommendations, to ensuring that every day unfolded effortlessly. What made this journey truly special, however, was Sharon herself. Her warmth, dedication and personal attention transformed an excellent trip into an unforgettable one. She accompanied us throughout much of our stay, was there at every tee-off and welcomed us at the 18th hole, cheering us on and capturing precious memories that we will treasure forever. I recently came across the thought that true luxury today is not excess, nor even design, food or service. It is the feeling that somebody genuinely cares about the experience you are having and the immediate sense that you are in good hands. Sharon and Alistair embody exactly that. My sister and I shared a truly unforgettable journey through Scotland and cannot recommend St Andrews for Golf highly enough. We leave with wonderful memories, immense gratitude and a strong desire to return.   Bucket List Too bad I cannot select a 7 star rating or I would do so. Traveled extensively and never experienced anything like this trip. Golf, accommodations, transfers etc were fantastic. Seamless travel experience. All I had to do was show up. All the personal touches were unexpected and very appreciated. Playing with the pro was a really fun experience.  Did this trip solo but never felt alone.  Alistair and Sharon were warm and welcoming. Special thanks to Brian for his part in making this an amazing trip. SAFG made my only bucket list trip an experience of a lifetime!

  St Andrews- Old Course I'm not someone who writes many reviews, but after a week of golf in St Andrews, it's hard not to. Alistair and Sharon organised everything, and the standard of service and hospitality was incredible — nothing was too much trouble. They were there when you started and there when you finished. Quite simply the best experience we've ever had. I've already passed Alistair's details on to a friend in Spain. First class from start to finish. Well done to the whole team.

  Incredible first golf trip to Scotland This trip was incredible.  Every detail thought out by Alastair and his amazing team.  We shipped our clubs to their office, and didn’t worry about a thing after this.  Walker is fabulous driving us around in a beautiful Mercedes van and was so accommodating.  This trip could not have gone better (and the weather was near perfect).  We would highly recommend Alastair and team.  Their knowledge helped us have the perfect first trip over to Scotland for some amazing golf.
